General

What is Attestly?
Attestly is a supervised-hours tracker for pre-licensed mental health associates. It launches with California AMFT supervision rules: associates log weekly hours by category, supervisors sign off on each week under penalty of perjury, and associates export the official BBS forms they need for licensure.
Does Attestly certify that I'm compliant with BBS rules?
No. Attestly shows you what your record contains and what the rule requires — it does not certify compliance. Your supervisor attests to each week, and the Board of Behavioral Sciences makes the actual licensure decision. We stay out of that chain deliberately.
Who is Attestly for?
Three kinds of users: pre-licensed associates logging hours, supervisors reviewing and signing weekly logs, and practice administrators who need compliance visibility across their associates without hour-level detail.
Do you support license types other than AMFT?
Not yet. We launched with California AMFT specifically because its supervision rules are among the most detailed in the country — if we can express those honestly, expanding to other license types like ASW and APCC, and to other states, is on our roadmap.

Data & Privacy

Does Attestly store client data?
No, never. Attestly is not an EHR. There are no free-text fields anywhere a client could be named, no notes, and no diagnoses — only categories and quantities of supervised time.
Is my data secure?
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Supervisor accounts require multi-factor authentication, since a supervisor signature is a legal attestation. Every access to an associate's record is logged. See our security page for the full picture, including what we don't yet claim.
What happens if I switch practices?
Nothing happens to your hours. Your associate account is personal, not employer-provisioned, and your full record and export stay available for as long as you need them — a practice's subscription status never affects your own access.

Attestation & Forms

Does my supervisor need to pay?
No. Supervisor accounts are always free when attached to a Practice or Solo Supervisor plan, because supervisors are the ones who make the record real by signing it.
What happens if my supervisor makes a mistake after signing a week?
Corrections after signing become visible amendments, never silent edits. The original signed record stays intact and marked superseded, so the history of what changed and when is always auditable.
What forms does Attestly export?
The Board's actual published PDFs: Form 37A-525 (weekly log) and Form 37A-301 (Experience Verification), filled from your attested data — not recreations of the Board's forms.

Practices

Can a practice see my hour-level details?
Not without your explicit consent. Practice administrators get compliance visibility — unsigned weeks, expiring registrations, supervisee-cap monitoring — never hour-level detail by default.
Can a practice delete or lock my record?
No. Attestly is record-centric, not org-owned. Practices hold time-scoped grants to an associate's record, never ownership of it. There is no "delete associate" button a practice can press.
What is the SB 1024 supervisee cap?
Effective January 1, 2025, SB 1024 caps a supervisor at six supervisees in nonexempt settings, counted across every employer that supervisor works for. Practices on the Practice plan get supervisee-cap monitoring built in.

Pricing & Support

Is there a free tier?
The Associate plan is free forever — unlimited weekly hour logging, the full rules engine, and BBS form export, with no credit card required.
Do you offer discounts for annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing comes with a 20% discount, switchable from account settings at any time.
Can I get a refund if I'm not satisfied?
Yes, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. Contact support for a full refund.
How can I get help?
